The introduction of the Park Pass as a safety education program will help provide a safer and
more enjoyable park environment for all guests using the park. Stevens Pass believes
being the first resort in the Northwest to offer a safety-based program for our terrain park
is important as we strive to be one of the best parks in the region.
To get your Park Pass is easy. First, you need either a day lift ticket or a season pass to
access the chair lifts. Once you have that you head up to the Top Phlight Terrain Park
main gate, located at the top of the Brooks chairlift where you'll see the Park Pass
building. A terrain park attendant will greet you. You'll watch an 8-minute safety video
on the Smart Style basics and park etiquette. After you are done with the video you must
then sign a release waiver. If you are one of our younger park riders, under the age of
18, your parent/guardian will also have to sign. The release is available here,
and can be downloaded to get your parent's signature
before you come to the mountain. After you have done the legal mumbo jumbo,
you receive a Park Voucher. With thisvoucher you can ride the park all day,
but remember it will be checked at the top gate each time you enter.
At your convenience, whether for lunch, a snack, or if you are going
home for the day, head for the base area and swing in Guest Relations, located in the
Granite Peaks Lodge. After the awesome people behind the desk greet you with a smile,
they will ask for your voucher (remember your voucher is the only way for you to get
your pass). You'll get your picture taken and then will receive your very own Park Pass.
The cost is $5 for the season. The cost of the pass simply covers the cost associated
with this program. Every user, no matter your ability level or the features you hit or don't
hit, needs to have a pass to enter the park.
With maybe 15 minuets out of you day you are now set. You get to shred the Top Phlight
Park all year long. Full of different rails, boxes, jibs, jumps, hips, tables, and anchored
with a 450' long half pipe. Our Pro Park staff maintains all, so you can get the most for
you buck.
The School Yard Progression area has had some improvements made to it as well. At its
new location next to Top Phlight, all the beginner park riders will feel right at home. Full
of learning tables, banked turns, small rails and boxes, and a small half pipe there is
bound to be something for everybody. You don't need a pass to use the School Yard.
So there you have it. Our interest is the safety and well-being of every park user. This
education program is one of the ways we promote park safety. I hope to see you in the
park this season having fun and being safe.
